Job description
Our team has an immediate permanent opening for a Senior Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Explore technologies in DWDM optical communication systems, including system design, performance optimization, channel impairment modeling (e.g. fiber Kerr nonlinearities, PDL and PMD) and performance monitoring
- Characterize device impairments in high-speed coherent transceivers; Design and implement hardware impairment compensation algorithms in ASIC DSP chips
- Closely work with DSP and ASIC design teams to provide solutions to improve performance of coherent transceiver and system
- Analyze channel impairments (dispersion, polarization, e/o hardware, etc) and develop end-to-end optimization solution
