Job description
Our team has a 12-month contract opening for an Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate simulation models of power systems (PSCAD, EMTP, Hypersim, RSCAD, etc.).
- Implement and validate simulation models to assess system performance under various scenarios and operating conditions.
- Perform detailed analysis of power systems electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulation results and provide insights into grid stability, fault response, and dynamic behavior.
- Collaborate with the research and development team to investigate emerging technologies and assist in preparing technical reports based on simulation findings.
Job requirements
What you'll bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus of Real-Time Simulation.
- Strong experience in using RTDS simulator or other real-time simulation platforms (e.g., OPAL-RT, Typhoon HIL) for power system modeling and analysis.
- Knowledge of power system modeling, including generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and real-time control systems are assets.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
