About the job:
Configure and operate a custom high-speed optical test platform (e.g., coherent transceivers, optical amplifiers, etc.)
Validate DSP algorithms through rigorous experimental testing
Document test procedures and results
Design Python-based automation scripts to streamline instrument control and data logging
Optimize test sequences for reliability and speed (e.g., parallelizing measurements with multithreading)
Job requirements
About the ideal candidate:
Bachelor's student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
Proficiency in Python
Hands-on lab experience (e.g., coursework with optical components or measurement equipment)
Knowledge of optical communication concepts is an asset
Familiarity with machine learning is an asset
