Co-op Assistant Software Engineer - Mobile AI

Huawei Canada has an immediate 8-month Co-op opening for an Assistant Software Engineer.

The lab’s mission focuses on advancing artificial intelligence and related fields to benefit the company and society. Driven by impactful, long-term projects, the aim is to enhance state-of-the-art research while integrating innovations into the company's products and services, including LLMs, RL, NLP, computer vision, AI theory, and Autonomous driving.

About the job:

• Source code analysis, research, test, and implementation on mobile application.

• Collaborative work with different teams.

• Development of Huawei's latest cutting-edge mobile platform.

About the ideal candidate:

• Enrolled in B.S degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• 2+ years of C/C++, Java, and TypeScript application development experience.

• Concrete knowledge of Java and C/C++ programming model.

• Knowledge of mobile development such as Android and iOS.

• Knowledge of Machine Learning.

• Ability to rapidly learn new software, frameworks, open-source tools, and development languages.

• Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task under considerable pressure and changing priorities.

• Experience in Android and OpenHarmony development with ArkTS and ArkUI is an asset.
