Our team has an immediate permanent opening for a Technical VP.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dynamic team in an in-depth exploration of cloud gaming, wireless AR/VR/XR, rendering farm, digital twin, and the metaverse.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry developments in graphics rendering through cutting edge research, preparing comprehensive reports and proposals.
  • Strategically plan projects and roadmap for the Huawei graphics rendering infrastructure platform.
  • Foster collaboration with teams across Huawei's global research centers, ensuring a cohesive and synergistic approach to innovation.
  • Spearhead academic partnerships with leading universities to drive collaborative research initiatives.
  • Contribute to the academic community by publishing high-quality research papers and obtaining valuable industrial patents.

Job requirements

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Possess a solid understanding of the graphics rendering pipeline, including rasterization and ray-tracing.
  • Showcase experience in rendering techniques and their optimizations, encompassing real-time ray tracing, PBR, light map, screen space reflection, SSAO, etc.
  • The ability to demonstrate innovative development expertise in GPU virtualization or Clustering Rendering is an asset.
  • Exhibit a passion for building best-in-class products.
  • Showcase excellent C/C++ programming skills.
  • Display outstanding leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience or knowledge in one of the following areas would be an asset: 

     - Application or driver development experience on APIs (Vulkan, OpenGL/ES/OpenGL/DirectX). 

     - Expertise with game engines such as O3DE, Unity, or others.

     - Proficiency in GPU modeling with performance modeling and analysis, and familiarity with GPU performance analysis tools. 

     - Knowledge of neural rendering.

     - Game development experience on Linux/Android.
