Our team has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Strategic Research Expert.


We are looking for an expert of the smart device and vehicle domains. This role of Strategic Research Expert will be responsible for analyzing the strategic trend in areas of smart devices and vehicles. The candidate will play the key role of "technology diplomat and strategic thinker" of the Institute of Strategy Research. This role will deliver independent consulting reports, and support the company's major technology strategy and investment in smart devices and vehicle field.

  • Gain insights into the latest technologies in Consumer Electronics fields in North America, such as smart devices, smart vehicles, smart house, and robots, analyze the technology hotspots of leading enterprises and research institutes in these fields, explore new challenges and opportunities, explore new technical directions, and provide strategic thinking and investment suggestions in these fields.
  • Participate in academic conferences and industry summits in the fields of consumer electronics in North America, communicate with experts in the fields, discuss important research directions and technical hotspots, and deliver technical analysis reports and feasibility suggestions.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of major technological breakthroughs, technological investments, and technological directions in the fields of consumer electronics, deliver technological propositions and visions, promote the feasibility demonstration of technical solutions, and provide consultation and decision-making suggestions for the Institute of Strategic Research.

Job requirements

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in consumer electronics industries, including but not limited to strategic insights, industry analysis, technical feasibility analysis, technical propositions, and vision analysis.
  • Be familiar with the technologies of smart devices, smart vehicles, smart house, and robots, with in-depth research and analysis experience in at least one of these domains. Have high-quality deliverables, such as academic papers and research reports.
  • Be familiar with the industries of smart devices and vehicles in North America, have a good understanding of relevant academic organizations, and have a wide range of connections and resources are preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate with HQ on a regular basis, including travel to HQ.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial awareness, with the ability to integrate technical issues with business objectives to provide strategic advice for the long-term development of the company.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively manage complex technical projects and challenges.
