Huawei Canada's Advanced Optical Technology Lab focuses on advanced R&D in high-performance optical communications and networking. About the Job:
Implement high-performance, parallelized solutions using GPU (e.g., CUDA) and NPU accelerators to achieve exceptional speed and scalability.
Utilize graph theory fundamentals (e.g., shortest path algorithms, graph traversal, connectivity) as the foundation for AI-enhanced routing models.
Develop and optimize AI-driven route path computation algorithms (e.g., using reinforcement learning, neural networks, or heuristic optimization) to solve complex routing problems.
Profile and tune code to meet strict performance, latency, and accuracy requirements.
Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
Job requirements
About the ideal candidate:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong proficiency in C++, Python, or similar languages, with proven ability to write efficient, scalable code.
Solid understanding of graph theory (e.g., Dijkstra’s algorithm, A*, BFS/DFS) and its role in routing algorithms.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical problems.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Familiarity with parallel computing frameworks (e.g., OpenMP, MPI) or performance profiling tools (e.g., NVIDIA Nsight) is an asset.
Proficiency in writing CUDA kernels for high-performance parallel computing applications is an asset.
