Senior Researcher - Efficient Computing

Job description

Our team has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Researcher.
Responsibilities:

  • Developing new ideas and contributing to the synthesis of novel AI4Net and Net4AI solutions
  • Implementing AI4Net and Net4AI solutions, with clean, efficient and scalable code
  • Conducting experiments on large-scale data sets to verify and evaluate the implemented solutions
  • Maintaining the codebase, and managing code deployment on distributed servers and/or mobile devices
  • Keeping track of the latest progresses in the (selected) AI/ML areas (especially federated learning, distributed learning, knowledge distillation, knowledge editing, AI safety and/or LLMs), as well as telecommunications
  • Contributing to the proposal of high-impact intellectual properties (e.g., patents), publishing of research papers in top-tier AI/ML and communications/networking venues, generating organized technical reports
  • Working closely with different research teams

Job requirements

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • A Ph.D. or a Master in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience and excellent knowledge with at least one deep learning architecture (e.g., Transformer, CNNs, RNNs, AEs)
  • Strong coding skills in one of the popular programming languages, e.g., Python, C/C++, Java
  • Experience with AI/ML coding tools, e.g., Pytorch or Tensorflow
  • Project experience on efficient AI models (linear Transformers, state space models and etc.), training and inference (pruning, knowledge distillation, quantization and etc.) is a huge asset
  • Project experience on LLMs, VLMs and ViT is an asset
  • Publications in top tier AI/ML conferences are assets
  • Good communication skills, willingness to collaborate, self-motivated
