Senior Engineer - DSP

Our team has an immediate permanent opening for a Senior Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Perform R&D activities in digital communication for optical interfaces, including Intensity Modulated Direct Detection (IMDD) and coherent systems
• Model optical communication systems with non-ideal devices and channel conditions, including:

      - High-speed analog devices (ADC, DAC, jitter, etc.)

      - OEO components (laser, MZ, VCSEL/EML, mixer, PIN, etc.)

      - Channel impairments (dispersion, filtering, nonlinearity, etc.)

• Develop efficient DSP algorithms to mitigate performance penalties from these impairments
• Design and conduct validating experiments, drive spec definition, and closely cooperate with offline testing and ASIC teams for implementation
  

What you'll bring to the team:

• PhD or Master's in Electrical Engineering or related fields, with experience in high speed communication system
• Strong background in optical system modeling and DSP algorithms
• Programming languages: Python, C++, Julia
• Knowledge in short reach IMDD system is an asset
