Our team has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Researcher.
Responsibilities:
- Explore advanced technologies for future optical telecommunication systems
- Optimize the transmission performance of long-haul optical telecommunication systems
- Perform lab experiments related to fiber-optics and free-space optics
- Write technical reports, insights and academic papers; draft patents
Job requirements
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Physics/Photonics/Optics/Engineering
- Knowledge of the physics behind fiber amplifiers, optical fibers and lasers
- Hands-on skills in fiber-optic and free-space optics experiments
- Familiar with Python
- Industry experience in Telecommunication/Photonics/Lasers is an asset
- Knowledge and experience related to RF photonics, electronic design and CAD tools is an asset
- Fluency in French is an asset
