About the team:
The Technology Planning and Cooperation Department promotes strategic innovation across all of Huawei Canada. Working with fellow experts, the focus is researching new and upcoming areas of technology as well as strategic planning to help achieve long term vision of Huawei. This department offers a unique opportunity to leverage both technical and business skills.
About the job:
- Working on the application of AI Algorithms and Architectures for solving real-world problems.
- Identify and formulate problems from software/hardware optimization.
- Survey literature for algorithmic ideas and solutions.
- Identify the key technology challenges and study disrupting architectures, technologies, components and algorithms to address those challenges.
- Design and own a complete next generation solution on AI.
- Work closely with other team members to understand and analyze the interplay between computing systems and AI.
Job requirements
About the ideal candidate:
- Ph.D. or Master's in Computing Science, Electrical Engineering or other related fields.
- Strong academic network and awareness of research within academia.
- Published papers in top conferences and journals.
- Have creative thinking, good teamwork spirit and communication skills.
- Responsible, proactive, and passionate about solving challenging problems.
- Familiarity with one or more the domains below:
- Distributed and parallel learning algorithms ML programming models and abstractions
- ML compilers and runtimes
- DCN for AI
- Generative AI, Embodied AI, Responsible AI, AGI; AI Algorithms and Architectures (Large Language Model, Foundation model, Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Robotics).
