About the team:
The Technology Planning and Cooperation Department promotes strategic innovation across all of Huawei Canada. Working with fellow experts, the focus is researching new and upcoming areas of technology as well as strategic planning to help achieve long term vision of Huawei. This department offers a unique opportunity to leverage both technical and business skills.
About the job:
- Carry out algorithm and theoretical research on artificial intelligence
- Assist in technical path analysis, evaluation, and prototype verification of technical research projects
- Track the trend of AI technology development in the world and generate research report
- Analyze the latest papers from leading academia conference in AI, and generate technical report
- Track the latest technical announcement and new solutions from leading industry players, and generate bi-weekly or monthly report
Job requirements
About the ideal candidate:
- Ph.D. student in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science, Robots, etc.
- Have good research background and achievements
- Have strong interest in algorithm research
- Have strong service abstraction capability
- Have creative thinking and ability to translate new ideas into engineering applications
- Have enthusiasm in research work, good teamwork and communication skills
- Have strong programming skills and be proficient in mainstream programming languages, such as C++, Java, and Python
- Have published relevant papers in high-level international conferences and academic journals, or have won awards in high-level competitions
