Our team has an immediate permanent opening for a Chief Architect.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate, propose and implement the next-generation technologies to enhance the competitiveness of Huawei auto-driving solutions
- Lead a team of senior and junior researchers working on research and development projects of autonomous driving
- Share his/her in-depth knowledge and vision of the state-of-the-art research and industry progresses on autonomous driving
- Communicate with the headquarter to align personal and team goals towards the progressing business needs of the company
- Proactively adjust personal and team focuses to keep up with the rapid developments of the industry
- Design innovative and executable R&D roadmaps
- Organize team efforts to deliver R&D projects with good quality in a timely manner
Job requirements
What you'll bring to the team:
- A Masters' degree on Autonomous Driving, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Automation, or other related fields
- 10+ years of R&D experience on autonomous driving or closely related fields
- 5+ years of industry experience on autonomous driving or closely related fields
- 5+ years of leadership, management or research mentor experience
- A strong track record in successfully delivering R&D projects
- A strong publication record as 1st author, i.e. tier-1 conference/ journal articles such as CVPR, ICCV/ECCV, ICRA, IROS, RSS, NeurIPS, AAAI, CoRL
- Solid background in designing and applying deep learning algorithms, and relevant libraries and frameworks: PyTorch/Tensor flow/Caffe/OpenCV, etc.
- Ph.D in the above fields, or leadership experience with a R&D project with proof-of-concept deliveries is an asset
