Job description

Our team has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Benefits and Payroll Assistant.


  • Create new hire payroll profiles.
  • Manage new hire benefit enrollment and termination processes, ensuring accurate and timely setup.
  • Assist in employee’s group insurance claims.
  • Engage in benefit and payroll reconciliation to ensure data accuracy.
  • Facilitate employee inquiries related to benefits and payroll promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on both payroll and benefits to employees.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with HR team members on various projects and initiatives.

Job requirements

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor degree in a Business/Accounting related area.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and benefits.
  • Ceridian Dayforce or ADP Workforce experience is an asset.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to multi task while adhering to strict timelines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
